Lounging About is in the Air

There are few things more frustrating not having a comfortable seat when you want it. Okay, maybe lugging heavy chairs or storing bulking seating options or even blowing them up if that is required, are also annoying. So, yeah, I guess there are several irksome things about seating.lamzac

Well, problem solved. There are a couple of options out there that allow you to pack, store, carry, and inflate colorful, large seating easily. These new seating options (or more like inflatable lounge canoes) use the power of the air that is all around us to inflate quickly. They also deflate in seconds, roll up and store in a tiny package. I can see having a few of these on hand brighten up any glampsite and make it truly comfortable to hangout and enjoy your surroundings.

Check out the Lamzac Hangout and the Laybag. Both of these inflatable lounge options aren’t cheap around $70, but the saving in storage space and ease of inflation might be worth it.

By the way: If you watch the videos for these products, notice that they never show anyone trying to get out of these canoe shaped seats. I have a feeling that sinking into the comfy seats is much easier than getting out.

Glamp It Up with a Portable Spa

Sometimes you get lucky enough to be in a special place and witness a natural phenomenon called a hot spring. These are produced by the emergence of geothermally heated groundwater that rises from the Earth’s crust – often in magical ways.

If you’re even luckier, that hot spring is the correct temperature for bathing (many of them are way too hot for humans) and you get to enjoy nature and the restorative properties reported to be associated with soaking in the hot mineral water of the spring.

But not everyone can get to a hot spring (or camp near one), so in that case you may want to glamp it up and bring your own spa.

Behold, Coleman’s Lay-Z Massage Spa, a portable hot tub that will definitely take your outing from camping to glamping. You and 4 to 6 of your friends can relax and sit in water temperatures up to 104 degrees while communing and nature. Talk about living large.

Of course, I can’t recommend using this on a shorter trip as that would be somewhat wasteful of our most precious natural resource – water. This especially applies if you’re glamping in California, since we are experiencing a serious drought here in the Golden State and water is a precious commodity that is in short supply. But if you’re headed out to an area that is not drought stricken and will be staying for a few days, this could be ultimate glamping accessory.
